The Pramac Generac GDW330I/FNE is a heavy-duty 330kVA diesel generator engineered for demanding industrial, commercial and standby power applications. Powered by the proven FPT C87TE4 8.7-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged engine and paired with a Mecc Alte ECO38 1L4 C alternator, the GDW330I/FNE delivers up to 330kVA / 264kW Emergency Standby Power and 300kVA / 240kW Prime Power. Operating at 1500rpm, 50Hz and 400/230V three phase, this generator is designed for reliable long-duration operation and can be configured with automatic mains failure, parallel operation, multiple fuel tank capacities and a wide range of industrial options.

 

Long Description

The Pramac Generac GDW330I/FNE 330kVA Diesel Generator is a professional industrial generating set designed to provide dependable electrical power for large commercial facilities, construction projects, manufacturing environments, critical infrastructure and standby power installations.

At its heart is the FPT C87TE4 diesel engine, an 8.7-litre, six-cylinder turbocharged and aftercooled power unit operating at a low 1500rpm. The engine produces up to 305kWm gross mechanical power in ESP operation and 281kWm in PRP operation, delivering excellent performance for demanding applications.

The generator provides a maximum Emergency Standby Power output of 330kVA / 264kW, while its Prime Power rating is 300kVA / 240kW. This makes the GDW330I/FNE suitable both for emergency backup installations and applications requiring extended prime power operation.

Power generation is handled by a high-quality Mecc Alte ECO38 1L4 C brushless alternator. The alternator provides a continuous nominal rating of 300kVA at 40°C and offers approximately 93.7% efficiency at full load.

Operating at 400/230V, 50Hz, three phase, with a 0.8 power factor, the generator provides a nominal current of approximately 433A, with a maximum current of 476A and a 630A circuit breaker.

Efficient Diesel Operation

61.66 litres per hour at 100% Prime Power

A range of fuel tank configurations can be specified depending on the required runtime.

Available capacities range from 500 litres through to 4,000 litres, allowing the generator to be configured for applications where extended unattended operation is required.

With the optional 4,000-litre MFT-L fuel tank, theoretical runtime at approximately 75% PRP can reach 87.2 hours.

Automatic & Parallel Control Options

The GDW330I/FNE can be configured with the ACP Automatic Control Panel, providing Automatic Mains Failure functionality for standby installations.

The system can monitor the mains supply and automatically start the generating set when a utility power failure is detected.

For larger power installations, the optional MPP Modular Parallel Panel allows multiple generator sets to operate together, with support for parallel operation of up to 32 generating sets.

This provides excellent flexibility for large industrial installations, load sharing applications and systems where redundancy is essential.

Open or Weatherproof Canopy Versions

The GDW330I/FNE is available in both open-frame and weatherproof canopy configurations.

The canopy version features a galvanized sheet-steel enclosure designed to protect the generator against weather, corrosion and demanding environmental conditions.

Large lockable access doors make servicing and maintenance straightforward, while anti-vibration mounts help isolate the engine and alternator from the baseframe.

The standard canopy version has a guaranteed sound power level of approximately 97dB(A), with sound pressure levels of approximately 78dB(A) at 1 metre and 68dB(A) at 7 metres.

An Extra Silent enclosure is also available where stricter noise requirements apply, reducing the guaranteed sound power level to approximately 94dB(A).
