The Pramac GDW780S/FNE is a high-capacity industrial diesel generating set engineered for applications requiring dependable three-phase power.

At the heart of the generator is the Scania DC16 078A (2-43), a 16.4-litre V8 turbocharged diesel engine operating at 1500rpm. The engine features electronic speed governing, water cooling and a 24V electric starting system.

The generator delivers 778.6kVA / 622.9kW Emergency Standby Power and 708.5kVA / 566.8kW Prime Power, making it suitable for emergency backup installations as well as prolonged operation under variable electrical loads.

An optional Data Centre Power configuration is also available, providing 708.5kVA / 566.8kW DCP output for suitable data centre and mission-critical applications.

Scania Industrial Diesel Engine

The Scania DC16 078A (2-43) combines substantial displacement, V8 configuration and high mechanical output for demanding industrial environments.

Mecc Alte Alternator

Electrical generation is handled by the Mecc Alte ECO40 VL4 C brushless alternator.

The alternator provides an 825kVA standby rating at 27°C and a 750kVA continuous nominal rating at 40°C.

It offers approximately 95.1% efficiency at full load, Class H insulation, IP23 protection and approximately ±0.5% voltage tolerance.

Fuel Consumption & Runtime

Fuel consumption is approximately:

105.99 litres per hour at 75% Prime Power

141.20 litres per hour at 100% Prime Power

A range of optional fuel tanks is available from 500 litres up to 4,500 litres.

Approximate runtime at 75% PRP ranges from 4.72 hours with the 500-litre tank up to 42.46 hours with the 4,500-litre tank.

Automatic Mains Failure Control

The optional ACP Automatic Control Panel provides Auto Mains Failure functionality for standby power installations.

The system includes full generator monitoring and protection, detailed event and performance logging, remote-control capability and optional I/O expansion modules.

Parallel Generator Operation

For larger installations, the optional MPP Modular Parallel Panel enables the GDW780S/FNE to operate in parallel with other generating sets.

Up to 32 generator sets can be configured for parallel operation, making this model suitable for large industrial installations, load sharing, redundancy and critical infrastructure applications.

Open & Canopy Versions

The GDW780S/FNE is available in open-frame and weatherproof canopy configurations.

The canopy version uses galvanized sheet-metal construction, high-quality soundproofing material and a residential silencer to provide protection from demanding environmental conditions while reducing operating noise.

Standard canopy noise levels are approximately:

• 105 dB(A) guaranteed sound power
• 85 dB(A) sound pressure at 1 metre
• 75 dB(A) sound pressure at 7 metres

An Extra Silent enclosure option is also available for installations where additional acoustic attenuation is required.
